I don’t give a lot of credence to mid-season rankings of teams, but Zillah definitely lived up to its number two ranking when they came to Goldendale. Two things really stood out for me in the game, which Zillah won 102-71.

First was the feeling that Goldendale played one of its best games of the year. In fact, just looking at their stats, one probably would have guessed Goldendale may have won the game. Obviously, they weren’t even close, which tells you how good Zillah was.

The second thing that hit me was how the game was mostly free of fouls, particularly by Zillah. Goldendale only got six foul shots in the game. It wasn’t officials missing calls. It was a good, quick team provi...
