Cougars and Bruins first of four games in a week

DOUBLE: Bridget Jones laced a double to the left-center gap against Columbia-White Salmon, in Dallesport on Friday.

Lyle-Wishram/Klickitat's girls came out swinging last week, at home against Columbia-White Salmon, winning the opener in five innings 15-5. The Cougars plated nine runs in the second inning and had eight batters with hits in the game, including multiple hit games by four batters. MaeLynn Luke was 3-4 with a double and a triple, Winter Bergin tripled and went 3-3 and Amber Tompkins also was 3-3. Arionna Contreras was 2-3 in the game. Both pitchers were in the strike zone with Bergin giving up just three hits and walking three batters for the win.
