Cline and Harvey limit Scots to seven hits for sweep and playoff berth vs Ki-Be

Andrew Christiansen GUNNED DOWN: J.C. Cline bounded from the mound to gun down a Highland runner. Cline pitched a 2-hit shutout to seal Goldendale's entry into the District playoffs.

J. C. Cline pitched a two-hit shutout over Highland, Monday, clinching fourth place in the SCAC West. The Timberwolves won the game 7-0 and completed the sweep on their home field with an 11-3 win. Goldendale will play on May 10 at Kiona-Benton, game time 4 p.m. The top three teams in the double elimination tournament will advance to the Regional tournament.

Goldendale needed a win on Saturday to punch their ticket into the SCAC baseball cross-over tournament. Alex Mains singled in the second inning, stole second and advanced to third base on a sacrifice fly by Mitchell Bane.
