Tennis team log wins over Warriors and Scotties as league winds down

 


Goldendale’s tennis team has rounded into form as the season winds down. The Timberwolves won both boys and girls matches over Cle Elum-Roslyn, on Friday and Highland on Saturday. The final league match was played against Naches Valley on Tuesday of this week and sub-district tennis will begin a week from this Saturday.

For a change, the boys were on the receiving end of a forfeit against Cle Elum-Roslyn. Jairus Christensen defeated Zach Brokhorst 6-3, 6-0 and Alden Bothamley won by forfeit in singles. Doubles were swept by Spencer Ricks and Ignacio Cano 6-0, 6-0 and by Mark Briggs and Edgar Vega by similar 6-0 scores.

The girls split in singles against the Warriors with Ashley Isaacs...
