Monday’s demolition derby was a good show. It seems these guys/gals are putting together some extremely durable cars these days.

The only black mark on the event was the poor decision by some people to fly the stars and bars on the Fourth of July.

I get the love of the Confederate flag that some people have. I liked it too, when I was a kid...it is pretty. But, I grew up.

I get that it makes you feel cool. I get that you think it says you are free. I get all that, but in spite of your intentions, it is anything but a symbol of freedom and it is particularly offensive to fly it on a day we are celebrating the founding of this country.

The Stars and Stripes stand for unity, just the opp...
