NOVEL COVER: The cover art for Travis Naught's newly released novel Joyride.

Black Rose Writing has published Joyride by Goldendale resident Travis Laurence Naught, author of poetry memoir The Virgin Journals. This debut novel is fast-paced, printed in a 6" x 9" paperback volume, and spans one week of character time in a cool 145 pages. Don't judge this book by its length, though. Its count of over 58,000 words surpasses Fight Club, The Great Gatsby, and Slaughterhouse-Five.

Joyride follows a pair of interwoven storylines from northwestern New Mexico to the wine country north of San Francisco: 

Garrett and Tammi start out on vacation in hopes of rekindling the heat in a marriage that may be burned out. They encounter more difficulties than they could have bargain...
