Distracted driving puts teen lives at risk

 


As a new study from Liberty Mutual Insurance and SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) points out, apps are especially dangerous in the hands of teen drivers, 68 percent of whom use apps behind the wheel.

A Liberty Mutual Insurance and SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) study polled 5,150 teenagers at high schools across the U.S. It revealed that what teens say and what teens do can be two very different things. When it comes to using apps while driving, 95 percent say it is dangerous and 68 percent admit doing it. Also, 41 percent say using navigation apps is dangerous, while 58 percent say they do it.
