Senior outside hitter Ocean Bryan slammed her way into the Goldendale High School record books against the Cle Elum Warriors on Oct. 22.

Entering the match needing just three kills to eclipse 1,000 for her four-year career as a Timberwolf, the 5-foot-10 senior finished with 19 kills as the Wolves swept the Warriors in three sets.

According to Goldendale head coach Jodi Bellamy, Bryan is the first Goldendale spiker in the last 20 years to surpass 1,000 career kills.

"She's a hard worker. Competitive. Brings it every day at practice," Bellamy said.

It wasn't until Thursday's match against the Highland Scotties that Bryan was honored for her feat, and she wasn't the only Timberwolf honored on that day Bryan and fellow seniors Madison Cameron and Becky Windom were recognized before the Wolves swept the Scotties on senior night.

"Lots of positive emotion for gratefulness and thankfulness and honoring our seniors," Bellamy said of Thursday's match.

Bryan added to her career total with a team-best 13 kills, junior setter Sierra Plum led the team with 27 assists, and Cameron went a perfect 36/36 from the service line with seven aces as the Wolves improved to 8-4 in South Central Athletic Conference West play and entered the district playoffs on a mini two game win streak.
