Phillip Mac Garner passed away at his home in Goldendale on March 4, 2017 at the age of 66. He was born in Goldendale October 8, 1950 to Ruth L. (McCormick) and William F. Garner. Phil graduated From Goldendale High School in 1968 and married Kathleen Radcliff on October 5 of that same year.

Phil worked at Goldendale Tire from high school until 1980 at which time he bought the business. Mr. Garner was an avid sportsman. Phil enjoyed hiking, steelhead fishing, bird hunting, gardening and feeding the birds at his home. Phil was a member of the Washington Cattleman’s Association.

He is survived by daughter Rachael Hurst of Centerville; sons Jesse Garner and Justin Garner of Goldendale; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Phil was preceded in death by Kathleen, his wife of 42 years; parents William and Ruth; brother Bill Jr .; and sister Lynn.

Services were held on March 11 at New Life Assembly of God. Donations to support the Klickitat County Fair Livestock Sale can be made to the Phil Garner Memorial Account at Umpqua Bank or 148 Hoctor Road, Goldendale.
