Council meeting focused on ACLU report

 


The Goldendale City Council met Monday night, and from opening gavel to adjournment took just 17 minutes, which left both council members and a sparse audience the chance to get home in time to catch the second half of the Gonzaga-North Carolina NCAA basketball championship game. Council members were helped in that regard by a very light agenda, which consisted of authorization for four needed public works projects and quick reports by various officers.

Those included a report from Goldendale Police Sgt. Jay Hunziker who reported on a meeting with the Bingen-White Salmon police, Klickitat and Skamania County sheriffs, and the ACLU on immigrant policy. Huniziker read off Reggie Bartkowski‚...
