Rachael N. Starr, 22, of Goldendale received her angel wings on March 30, 2017, surrounded by her family.

Rachael was born on March 16, 1995 to John and Toni Starr, also of Goldendale.

Rachael graduated from Goldendale High School in 2014. During her younger years, Rachael was an active member of the Girl Scouts of America and Awanas. She was also an active participant of Relay for Life, serving as a team captain for two of those years. Rachael also enjoyed volunteering her time walking dogs at Dogs of the Gorge. Most currently, Rachael was volunteering at the Goldendale Head Start, where she loved spending time with young children.

Rachael is survived by her parents, John and Tony Starr; her older brother, Darrin Starr; her older sister, Cynthia Starr, and fiancé Erik Vargas; and her maternal grandparents, John and Ruby Bargas. Rachael also leaves behind her dog and best friend, Armani; her betta fish, Fella; closest friends Sara and Nicole; several nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles-all of whom she loved dearly.

Rachael is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James E. Starr and Barbara L. Starr; and an uncle, Dale Sabourin.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Dogs of the Gorge, in memory of Rachael N. Starr, PO Box 931, Goldendale, WA 98620.

At this time, a memorial service has yet to be announced.
