T-Wolves return from break for busy week

NO  PAIN  NO GAIN: Goldendale freshman Corbin Riley turns the corner in the 1,500 meter run on March 18 at the Mullen-Leavitt Invite in The Dalles. Riley competed in both the 800 and 1,500 meter runs in The Dalles, finishing in 2 minutes, 33.21 seconds and 4:58.41 respectively.

While the majority of the Goldendale athletic teams were off for spring break, each of the spring sports teams returns to action for a busy week.

The Goldendale golf team stepped right into action on Monday in Hood River, and is back on the course two days later for its lone home meet of the season today at 1 p.m. at the Goldendale Golf Course.

Head coach Ted Wilkins said his group struggled a bit, but that was to be expected after returning from the break.

The Timberwolves, the Naches Rangers and the Warden Cougars will be on the course this afternoon for a shotgun start in the first of four South Central Athletic Conference golf matches between now and May 1 before sub-...
