Three Cougars earn All Opponent honors on the baseball diamond

 


Although the Lyle-Wishram-Klickitat baseball team’s season ended just shy of reaching the District 5/6 2B Tournament, a couple of big hitters and a defensive standout from the Cougars were honored among the league’s top players.

Juniors Riley Mills, Kurtis Billette, and Andrew Carlock all were selected to the Eastern Washington Athletic Conference All Opponent Team which was released Tuesday afternoon.

Mills was selected to the first team and finished the season hitting .453 with four home runs, 18 RBIs, 23 stolen bases and a team leading 29 hits.

Billette earned second team honors after batting .510 with 23 RBIs, 28 runs, and three homers.

Carlock made the honorable mention team, batting .300 while providing defensive consistency as the team’s top catcher.
