Deputies thwart attempted suicide

 


On June 8, the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office was notified about a female who expressed a desire to commit suicide. The Sheriff’s Office immediately started searching the Snowden Road area after receiving leads of her being in the area. The Hood River County Sheriff’s Office was called for air support.

After several deputies searched the area, the airplane located a vehicle off the road and what appeared to be a person laying next to it. Deputy Chris Wyzykowski was on scene first and located the missing woman next to her truck with her wrists slit and other injuries related to rolling her truck off the road.

Noticing the woman was not breathing, Wyzykowski gave her several chest...
