June 20, 1889

There are now said to be at least 125,000 sheep on the north side of the Klickitat Bridge in the vicinity of Mt. Adams, and still they are going in at a rate of 5,000 per day. The farmers in the vicinity of Camas Prairie are in dire distress; they can’t afford to herd their few head of cattle, which are inclined to seek new range on account of the presence of the sheep upon their feeding grounds.

June 6, 1918

A birthday party was given this week Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Jacob Crocker, in honor of her mother, Mrs. Amelia Yeackel. All of the family were present, and a most happy reunion took place. Hathaway secured photographs of the 38-family members present. Mrs. Yea...
