Four teams tied with a score of 61 in last week’s Erland Golf Tournament. They were: Team Anderson’s Matt, Jenna, Mitch and Corey Wehr; Team Tom and Becky Bare, Tim Essex, Dan Morrison, Bill Rogers; Team Gary and Janet Smith, Chuck Thomas, Rich  Holycross; and Team John Wilde, Joe Bales, Ted Wilkins, Jeff and Trevor Fields.

The teams wrapped up their tie scores in wet and windy conditions. The winning Long Putt on hole 1 was Tim Essex with a 36-foot putt.

Closest to the pin on 13 was Rich Marshall, after hitting the pin. Closest to the pin on 18 was Mitch Anderson at 14 inches.

The Goldendale Golf Club Lowell Erland Memorial Tournament was held on Oct. 10, with 38 golfers competing in a scramble that helped raise funds for high school scholarships which were awarded to five seniors at graduation on June 5.

Abby Hedges, Justin Ihrig, Cameron Mains, Delaney Peters, and Ellie Rising were the 2020 recipients and are all now attending college.

The sponsors, golfers, and donations were very generous.
