The Goldendale FFA is hosting a community rock hunt. The event is called, “Ag Rocks!” “The purpose of Ag Rocks is to teach people in our community facts about agriculture that they may have not known before,” commented Angelina Owen, GMS FFA Secretary.
Our agriculture students researched agricultural facts and created symbols to represent the facts on the rocks. They painted the symbols on the rocks. Then, our FFA members hid the rocks along Main Street, Columbus Avenue, Ekone Park, and World War II Park.
When community members find a rock, they go to the Goldendale FFA Facebook page and find the post of their rock. They take a picture of them and the rock and post it in the comment section of their rock post. Then, the community member will be entered in a drawing for a gift card.
