OLD TIME HAND-CUFFS DISCOVERED IN EXCAVATION
Rusted and corroded, a pair of ancient handcuffs, that might well have been used to shackle some pioneer bad man, were unearthed near the Goldendale Baptist church las week by Rev. C. E. Hanes. The handcuffs, according to Reverend Hanes, were buried under nearly two feet of earth and were discovered during some water pipe excavation.
The handcuffs are the type used from 30 to 40 years ago with a small single link attaching the two wrist shackles to each other. No definite information regarding the history of the shackles can be found.
