Jack Allen Reeves, aged 78, passed away in his home in Goldendale on January 30, 2021.
Born in Yakima Washington to parents Fred Ellsworth and Lenora Pauline (Stephens) Reeves in December of 1942, Jack loved to travel and lived in many places before finally settling back down in Washington. He met and made friends all along the way, many of whom he considered family. He was a very caring person and loved every person he met.
Jack loved visiting with family and friends and always had a joke or story to share. Quick to laugh, he brightened those around him with his teasing nature. He was also an avid trader and could talk you out of your car in no time at all. Jack enjoyed fishing, camping, and just getting in the car to drive.
Jack is survived by his wife Mary Tennent-Reeves, and children Pauline Naomi Hickman of Fairbanks, Alaska, Julie Anne Reeves of Goldendale, Gloria Janine Armour of Goldendale, and Jack Allen Reeves Jr of Goldendale. He is also survived by his brothers Fred of Portland, Oregon, and Tom of Goldendale; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his first wife Rosemary, parents Fred and Pauline, brothers Sherman and Samuel, and sisters Janet, Linda, and Alice.
Jack’s final words to his family while they gathered at his bedside were: “I love you all.”
There will be a celebration of life to honor Jack’s memory at a later date.
