Scott Sarvis

Scott Allen Sarvis was born to Mary Ellen (Millar) and Ward Allen Sarvis in Pierre, South Dakota, on Jan. 27, 1954.

He married Sheryl Shoop on July 7, 1972, in Salem, Oregon. Scott was a member of the Nazarene church and enjoyed reading his Bible, watching John Wayne movies and other westerns, traveling in his RV, and spending time with his family. He loved fishing, his dogs, and making people laugh. Scott passed away in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 65 on July 31, 2019.

He will be missed by his wife, Sheryl Sarvis of Goldendale; daughters Kasey Schneider of Goldendale, Kari Freer of Fife, Washington, and Kolette (Rick) Ropp of Salem; grandchildren Bradley, Ashley, Brayden, Majesta, Blaine, Jernee, and great-granddaughter, Brielle; sisters Anne Hayes of Spokane, Washington, and Karla Baker of Lakeview, Oregon; brothers Jeff Sarvis of Winthrop, Washington, and Rick Sarvis of Portland.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 9, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel in Goldendale. A funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 10, at Goldendale Church of the Nazarene with graveside to follow at Mountain View IOOF Cemetery in Goldendale.
