Active Shooter program focuses on school scenario

Goldendale Police Department (GPD) officers were out for revenge during Saturday’s fourth annual Active Shooter training. This year it was held at the Centerville School.

In past training sessions, the officers didn’t have a chance to set up their own scenario for the “boss men” (Lieutenant Reggie Bartkowski and Sergeant Jay Hunziker). This year that changed.

All of the 18 participating officers, deputies, and reserve cadets went through two scenarios, and afterwards Bartkowski, Hunziker, and one cadet were put through a third scenario with two shooters.
