Students back for PSE plant tour

THINGS ARE LOOKING UP: Students from various schools around the county marvel at the huge fans at the Puget Sound Energy plant during a tour Friday.

For the third year of the interactive tour at the Puget Sound Energy (PSE) plant, the employees expanded their reach beyond Goldendale; including not just Goldendale Primary School but also Goldendale Christian, Klickitat, Roosevelt, Seventh-Day Adventist, and Wishram schools.

Seventh-Day Adventist School joined Goldendale Primary School in the morning session while the other schools were in the afternoon session.

The five stations were changed somewhat as well.

They still had the battery station where the students, under the instruction of Deepa Narayanan and Patti Best, made batteries to light up LED bulbs using nails, copper pieces, connector cables, potatoes, and lemons.
