Baze focus is on fulfilling campaign promises

Although he vied for change during his campaign, newly elected Clint Baze will keep some things the same during his term as Goldendale’s mayor.

Baze says that no changes to city staff will happen once he takes office. That is, however, “unless someone wants to leave,” he laughed.

The first thing on his agenda as mayor is to get to know his staff.

“I want to start on working and building a good rapport with the head of departments and staff of the city hall,” Baze said.

He seems to want to jump into his duties with two feet, but he also acknowledges it will not be smooth sailing for the first stint of his period in office.
