AT&T reports critical tower outage

Updated: AT&T has fixed the issue and customers should not be experiencing any more problems.

Most Goldendale AT&T wireless customers know by the lack of cell service, but for those that are unaware, there is a critical issue with a cell tower located in Goldendale.

The technical representative from AT&T said that there are multiple issues reported for this tower and the estimated date that it will be fixed is not until Jan. 11. The tower has been experiencing issues since Jan. 1.

“There’s no explanation why it’s a critical ticket,” said Henry from AT&T’s technical support. “This is a very major, critical issue.”

AT&T customers that are experiencing a problem with their cell phone service are encouraged to call customer care at 1-800-331-0500 and give them the following ticket number to request a credit onto their account. Ticket number: TT000029831409. Henry suggested to wait until customers’ service comes back to get an accurate refund. Getting a “courtesy credit” would probably not be a full credit if customers were to call right away.

I called them yesterday and was told that no one else had reported the problem! It would be great if they were more truthful. I agree, the timeframe is unacceptable.

Thank you Rebecca. It has been extremely upsetting and frustrating. Their time frame is so unacceptable.
