VERY TALL BAMBOO: Goldendale High School graduate Ryell Carley is dwarfed by enormous bamboo trees in Costa Rica.

Local college students Ryell Carley and Tanner Milliren (Goldendale High School graduates of 2009 and 2008, respectively) are spending their winter term with Evergeen State College in Costa Rica, doing a program they entitled Sustainability in Costa Rica. In their initial report in last week’s paper, Carley recounted initial impressions of Costa Rica. This week continues her report on their experience.
