Donald Davison



Donald James Davison was born in Tacoma, Washington on May 8, 1943, to Dan and Donna (Geho) Davison. He grew up in Tacoma and joined the Navy at the age of 16. After his honorable discharge in 1964, Mr. Davison moved to California where he married, had three daughters and worked for McDonnell Douglas and also in construction. The family moved to Albany then to Lebanon and Donald worked at the mill in Albany.

Donald's first marriage ended in divorce, but he met Francis Roeder in 1979 and it was love at first sight. They married and lived in Lebanon for many years before moving to Idaho then to Goldendale three years ago.

Mr. Davison was a former member of the American Legion. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in his shop and anything that had to do with a power tool or wrench.

Donald passed away at his home in Goldendale on January 16, 2012 at the age of 68. Survivors include his wife Francis Davison of Goldendale; daughters Tracey Carroll of Washougal, Dawnray Davison of Oklahoma and Teriann Davison of Oregon City; brother Larry Davison of Albany; sisters Donna Rice and Judy Mowery both of Albany, and Shirley Boyd of McMinnville; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sons Mike A. Roeder-Jensen, Martin L. Jensen and John M. Jensen.

A memorial service for Donald Davison will be held at New Life Assembly of God church on Wednesday, January 25, at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements.
