Library celebrates 100 years as a resource


Not many people realize how big of a resource a community library is until they need it for something, such as research or job hunting. Naomi Fisher, community Librarian at the Fort Vancouver Library Goldendale Branch, spoke to a crowded room at the Chamber Forum Luncheon last Thursday at The Glass Onion about the resources the library provides.

This year, the Community Library celebrates its 100th birthday. Since 1912, the library has been serving the community of Goldendale. The building was erected, however, in 1914.
