Bickleton working on water system

 


The Bickleton Community Council (BCC) is applying for a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) grant to help fund their Water System Plan project. The BCC has been working on this project for several years and their plan is now done. The next step is funding.

“If everything goes perfectly, we could start construction next year,” said John Grimm at a public meeting last Thursday.

Grimm, of John Grimm & Associates, is the consultant for the BCC and is working with the Klickitat PUD to make their plan a reality.

The total project cost is approximately $1 million. Eight hundred thousand dollars of that, they are hoping, will come from the USDA grant. Of that $800,000, $200,000 wo...
