Funds aren’t hard to find


So much education to get, so little money. That’s what high school seniors start to say around this time of year. But there is help available, and it’s easy, and hardly anybody knows about it.

As you’ll see when you read our story about the Klickitat Valley Education Trust (KVET), a number of caring individuals put in several hundred thousands of dollars into a fund specifically to help Goldendale High School (GHS) graduates go on to further education. Pearl Shepard, for example, a retired school teacher, alone put in $600,000 into it. And it’s for any GHS graduate of any year.
