Bulldogs rally with 10-run seventh inning to spoil Lady Cougar’s opener

FIRST RUN: Nicky Anderson slides home in the first inning with the Lady Cougars’ first run of the year. Lyle-Wishram lost it’s opener to Stevenson 25-22.

As manager Dave Barthlow put it, “we missed field goals and lost 25-22” in a wild opening game at Dallesport. The Lyle-Wishram Cougars put together a few good innings and it looked like they would cruise to an easy win with the score 19-15 in the top of the seventh inning. It would prove to be a long inning as the Bulldogs grabbed the lead and kept going, putting 10 runs on the board. Lyle-Wishram scored in every inning, but could only manage three in the seventh and took the loss. The second game was called for darkness after one inning.
