Wolves blast out 23 hits and 32 runs in home opening sweep of River View


Goldendale’s baseball team got out of the box in a hurry against River View, blasting Panther pitching for 10 runs in the first inning of their double header played in Goldendale on Saturday. After two innings of play, the Timberwolves had all the runs they needed in a 15-4 pasting of the Panthers.

Nolin Bare struck out eight batters in four innings of work for his first win of the season. Last year’s home run leader, Lucas Denney got it going early with a home run in the first game, driving in five runs with 3-4 hitting. Michael Trunkey was 2-2 and scored two runs and Tim Bartkowski and Ethan Enstad each drove in a pair of runs.
