Richard Webster



Richard "Dick" “Popeye” Webster, who was born in Tacoma,WA in May1935 and attended Lincoln High School, passed away on February 25, 2012, after suffering a major heart attack at the age of 76. He was an amazing husband, father, opa (Grandpa), Christian, veteran and war hero, and Master Mason. He touched so many lives with his zest for living, and his ability to love all no matter what and taught us all to not judge a book by its cover. He lived every day like it was his last and he passed away with no regrets. Now he is taking the Harley ride of his life and is sitting at the feet of Jesus!

Richard is survived by his Wife of 43 years, Naida Joy “Kelley” Webster of Goldendale, WA. His daughters Sybil June Rice, her husband Zach and their two sons Alexander and Nicholas; Angeila Diana Roush, and her husband Bill and their two sons Chase Howard and Colin Richard; and Julie Ann Staples and her three daughters Amanda, Alizabeth and Ashawn, and his four great-grandsons. Richard, is also survived by his siblings Jack Webster and his family, and Martin Webster and his family; sister Dina Ingraham and her family, and brother Ronald and his family. Richard is preceded in death by his daughter Anna-Maria, his grandson Adam Staples and his brother Edwin Jr.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that you donate to the VA Golf Course at American Lake. Attention American Lake Veterans Golf Course, 9600 Veterans Drive Bldg 114, Lakewood, WA 98493; Dad spent many hours volunteering with them. On March 31, 2012 we will have a Celebration of Life from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuell-McKee Funeral home: 2215 Sixth Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98403. On April 2, 2012, our hero will be honored at the National Cemetery.
