Arlington Jackpot Rodeo moved to second weekend in May


The Arlington Jackpot Rodeo has been moved to May 12-13. The rodeo traditionally ran during the first weekend in May, but made a change to the second weekend, for the first time in more than 60 years.

A parade through downtown Arlington, starting at 10 a.m. on May 12, will kick off the 65th anniversary of the rodeo. The Queen’s luncheon at the United Methodist Church hall at 150 Hemlock St., will be held immediately after the parade. Rodeo action begins at 12:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. A cowboy breakfast will be served on Sunday at the Masonic Hall from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
