Previously rejected school levy back in the hands of Lyle voters


Lyle school is giving it one more try to pass a continuation of their maintenance and operation (M&O) budget for 2013 and 2014. Ballots were put in the mail last Thursday, according to the Klickitat County auditor’s office. Voters have until April 17 to cast their votes.

The first time around, voters turned down the measure that would have raised $738,000 from local assessment. After discussing the options, the school board decided to ask the voters again, following more public discussion about the need for the funds.
