Timberwolves remain undefeated, girls drop two at Cle Elum


Nolin Bare and Tim Bartkowski were sharp again pitching Goldendale to a sweep of Cle Elum-Roslyn, 7-1 and 11-0, advancing the Timberwolves’ record to 8-0.

Bare threw six innings of four hit ball in the opener with Michael Trunkey providing the offense with a two-run home run in the third inning. Bare struck out seven and walked two batters.

Bartkowski was near perfect in the five-inning nightcap allowing a pair of singles while striking out six and walking none. Ethan Enstad was 3-3 with four RBI.

The Wolves played Highland on Tuesday and host Zillah on Saturday.
