Edith McConnell



Edith Sarah Atkins McConnell reunited with her loved ones on the other side April 10, 2012 at her home in Union, Ore.

Her life began in Vale, OR on Valentines Day 1919. She spent most of her life in Washington, returning to Oregon in June, 2011 to be with her daughter’s family.

She taught by example how to be an honorable daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, homemaker, rancher, steamfitter, welder, dedicated outdoorsman, nature and animal lover, and friend.

She is remembered by her baby sister of Goldendale, her daughter, son-in-law and grandson, her granddaughter and husband in Union, Ore., as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her neighbors cat, all of whom will miss her.

A graveside service will be April 16, 10 a.m., in Goldendale, Wash. There will be a remembrance later in Union at her granddaughter’s home.
