Sun brings out records from Gorge League athletes

Warm weather brought out personal records (PR) galore among Columbia Gorge League track and field athletes. Thirty-one students from Bickleton, Klickitat, Lyle-Wishram and TLG set 40 new PRs, including a new school record of 17.88 seconds in the 100 meter hurdles by Bickleton’s Lindsay Brown at Saturday’s meet in Prosser.


Bickleton runners set five other PRs and there were eight more in field events between the Prosser meet and Friday’s competition at Kittitas. Peter Clinton ran his first 1600 in competition in 5:05, good enough for fourth place at Kittitas. He also set a new mark at 11-6 in the pole vault in Prosser.
