A reminder from the Greater Goldendale Area  Chamber of Commerce that beginning in May, Community Chamber Forum luncheons will always be on Thursdays at noon, no matter which restaurant is hosting. Beginning this Thursday, May 3, there will be an update from our Observatory with Steve Stout at the American Legion at noon. These community forum luncheons are for everyone to come and be informed while eating their lunch. You do not have to be a Chamber member.

A date has been set for Thursday, May 10, for the next Town Hall meeting so that everyone can give a progress report on what has been accomplished since the March 6 meeting. The time and place will be announced next week. There will be an update on the progress of a community center as well as the new online Golden List. Please come!

The Goldendale Community garden run by the Master Gardeners is being readied for the next season by the community gardeners and the garden will also be expanded to double it’s size. There will be spaces available for rent shortly. More information is to come on the gardens.

Presby Museum opened this week and they are getting prepared to celebrate their 50th Anniversary all year.

The new Mary and Bruce Stevenson wing of Maryhill Museum will open soon. You can see up and down the river from their massive windows as well as the large veranda. Stonehenge and John Day Dam can be seen in the distance to the east.
