Timberwolves upset Rangers 9-8 in Goldendale


Goldendale defeated the state's number one ranked Naches Valley Rangers 9-8 in game one of a double header played in Goldendale, May 1. In the bottom of the 5th inning, trailing 8-6 with the bases loaded, Nolin Bare scored on a wild pitch and runners advanced. Michael Trunkey then doubled down the left field line to put the Wolves up 9-8. Bare struck out the side in the top of the 7th inning, handing the Rangers their first defeat of the year. The Rangers entered the game with a 10-0 league record. Goldendale was 6-2 with a double header at La Salle rescheduled for Friday.
