Wolves save their best for State meet

DETERMINATION: Brady Conway put his leg injury behind him to run a PR in the 110 meter hurdles, qualifying him for the finals.

They didn’t have a large contingent of athletes at the State track and field meet, last weekend, but Goldendale’s team came prepared, setting seven personal records (PR) out of 13 events.

One of the surprises for the Timberwolves was Brady Conway, who a week earlier had to be carried from the track after a hamstring injury during the 300 meter hurdles at Districts. Conway, a senior was determined to make an appearance at the State meet during his final year, having qualified in the 110 meter hurdles and long jump before the injury.
