Pat Hulse

Patricia (Pat) Irene Hulse went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2012, at the age of 75. After many years of illness, Pat lost the battle with lung cancer. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends.

Pat was born March 17, 1937 in Byron, Calif., to Olye and Irene Long. In March 1979, she and three of her children moved to Goldendale, where she married Leonard (Stony) Hulse. After earning her CNA license, Pat worked at the Mount Adams Care Center for several years before opening Pat’s Adult Foster Home.

Pat got the most enjoyment from spending time with her family, jitterbugging with her grandchildren and playing cards with her many friends. She enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God church. She took part in Women’s Aglow and she was a prayer warrior involved in several church prayer chains. Pat also was involved with the benevolence ministry at church.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Lineker and her husband, Mark of Poulsbo, and their children, Serena, Charlie, Melody and Mark Jr .; Terri Swigart and her husband Terry, of Goldendale and their children, Rebekah, Isaac and Hannah; Rochelle Lee, of Kent, WA and her children, Beth and Bill; and her son, Olan Williams and his significant other, Sam Lemley, of Goldendale, and his son, Patrick and their daughter, Nikki; and her beloved pet Daisy May.

A memorial service will be held at New Life Assembly of God church, 1602 S. Columbus, at 1 p.m., on Aug. 11, 2012.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that guests bring canned food donations for the benevolence ministry.
