Resident receives Brush with Kindness

SMILING VOLUNTEER: A volunteer for Brush with Kindness applies paint to Carol Duncan’s home.

There are many grateful people in Goldendale after local Habitat for Humanity affiliate organization Brush with Kindness completed its first project Saturday.

After four days of prep work in the summer heat, 16 volunteers showed up around 6:30 a.m. to begin painting the exterior of Carol Duncan’s home on East 21st Street. Volunteers from around the community included Mindy Jackson, executive administrative assistant at Klickitat Valley Health and city council member; Pastor Ben Moore of the Goldendale United Methodist Church; Casey Durant and Barb Cosner from Sterling Savings Bank; and many other members of the community.
