Soccer club drops opener


Coach Jimmy Dick couldn’t say much about his team’s progress following their loss to Columbia-Boardman last week. It wasn’t the kind of performance that he expects to see from the team and the problem was compounded by the fact two of his starters were missing from the line-up.

What Dick did see, however, was a Timberwolf team that outplayed Columbia everywhere except on the scoreboard. “We outplayed them and dominated possession. We just didn’t score,” said Dick. And, although the score was 3-1, Columbia had just three shots on goal. Billie Jo Risheim scored the Wolves’ only goal.
