A good dog can make a good day of hunting great for most hunters



TEAMWORK: Craig Johnson and his son Connor had a successful outing near the Goldendale fish hatchery with their dog, Buck from the mating of Wing’s Ace and Johnson’s stud dog.

After an exhausting day of bird chasing, Rob Wing and his son Chase concluded they needed a good bird dog as their trusty old Lab was getting long in the tooth. The hunt for the right dog led them to a rare breed for this country, a Small Munsterlander. Think of a Brittany Spaniel with the markings a cross between that and a German Wirehaired Pointer, but with a long, feathered tail and some feathering on ears and legs.. The breed is a multipurpose hunting dog, good with upland birds and waterfowl.
