Pirates tumble to fourth after losses to TLG and Knights

Sunnyside Christian cemented its claim to first place in the Greater Columbia Gorge League volleyball competition with wins over Klickitat and Bickleton last week. It was a week that saw TLG jump past Bickleton in the standings, then lose to Klickitat for the second time in the year.

The match at Bickleton looked like a toss up on paper. TLG had beaten the Pirates in Trout Lake 3-2 for Bickleton’s only league loss. This time the Mustang-Eagles had to do it on the road in Bickleton’s house. TLG won the opening set as Bickleton never seemed to get their offense going. Hard serves from throughout the TLG lineup prevented Bickleton from putting passes on target and the Pirate attack rarel...
