Truck blocks SR97 near Maryhill

Just after midnight on Saturday morning, a semi truck and trailer wrecked on SR97 near Maryhill State Park. According to the State Patrol report, Singh Surinder, 40, of Stockton, Calif., was southbound on SR97 when he collided with the southbound guardrail as he crossed the bridge over the railroad tracks. The 2000 Peterbilt truck and trailer came to rest over the embankment.

Bishop Towing of Goldendale assisted with the removal of the wreckage, which had the road blocked until 6 a.m. The driver was not injured.
