Burglary spike plagues rural Klickitat County


Rural residents of Klickitat County have been under assault from several people intent on burglarizing residents over the past month or so. According to Chief Criminal Deputy Pat Kaley with the Klickitat County Sheriff’s Office, several suspects have been interviewed but the cases are still under investigation. While burglary isn’t an unusual crime in the county, historically it has been more sporadic without much of a link between incidents. The recent burglaries suggest one or more groups of people are systematically targeting county residents.
