Nightmare on Main Street tonight

Glenwood business owners have dubbed Halloween “Nightmare on Main Street” this year. Merchants are planning special activities to provide a safe and fun place for children (young and old) to enjoy Halloween!

There will be a costume contest at the Mountain Inn at 4 p.m., and the Glenwood General Store is sponsoring their annual pumpkin-carving contest. Pumpkins need to be dropped off by 5:30 p.m. and judging will begin at 6 p.m. A new event this year is the “trunk or treat” where people can park between the store and the restaurant along Main Street and offer “treats” out of their trunks beginning around 4:45 p.m. Trunks can be decorated — or not; costumes optional, as...
