Lady Wolves crush Rangers, enter playoffs as third seed

SENIORS: Crysta Counts, foregrounds and Karissa Ihrig, back played their last matches at Goldendale against Naches Valley.

Goldendale rebounded from a sound beating at the hands of Zillah on Oct. 18 to pull off a huge upset over previously unbeaten Naches Valley. The Rangers, who weren’t used to losing many games, let alone no match losses looked stunned when Goldendale answered the Rangers 25-21 opening win with an identical 25-21 win for the Wolves.

It carried over into the start of the third game as the Lady Timberwolves supported Sarah Henderson’s serves with a 4-0 lead. Goldendale was getting great play on defense, making dig after dig and sending hard shots back at the Rangers from all areas of the floor.

Brook Graff pounded out four kills from the middle, Sawyer Ross had three from the side, Kariss...
