To the Editor:

On the front page of last week’s Sentinel, coverage was given to a complaint made by an atheist person regarding sacred songs in the Goldendale School District’s Christmas concert. An investigation was conducted. Allegations against Doug Siegel were found to be completely false, according to Mark Heid, School Superintendent. The teacher was out one day for the investigation and back in class the next.

So why has a change been made in the Christmas program? Originally, six sacred songs and six secular songs were to be used. This is an equitable compromise. However, because of a complaint proven to be false, the school will now use four sacred songs and six secular songs....
